  2.                         COLOURING THE ENOCHIAN TABLETS

  6.       There are several methods of colouring the elemental tablets,
  7.    depending on which Enochian system you are using and also if the english
  8.    lettered squares are being coloured or the Enochian lettered truncticated
  9.    pyramids are being used.
  10.       I will attempt in this paper to euclidate as many methods as possible
  11.    so that you will have a greater range of choices to utilize; thereby
  12.    further personalizing your tablets to suit you.

  15.                            I.  The Lettered Squares

  18.    1.  John Dee and Edward Kelley
  19.       The only method of colour for the tablets were set forward by an
  20.    Action of June 30, 1584.
  21.       The elemental colours of the quarters were given to Edward Kelley as
  22.    such:
  23.                        Air   - Red        Water - Green
  24.                        Earth - Black      Fire  - White
  25.       This was the only suggestion of colour in the elemental tablets by the
  26.    Dee manuscripts, and no other method was given.

  29.    2.  The Golden Dawn
  30.       This is the most widely used system of colouring the tablets and is
  31.    fairly uncomplicated.
  32.       In this method, the only squares that are coloured are the Kerubic
  33.    squares and Servient squares located in the four subquadrants of each
  34.    tablet.  The rest are left white with black lettering.

  51.       The attributions are Air - Yellow; Water - Blue; Earth - Black; and
  52.    Fire - Red.
  53.       All the Coloured Squares on a given tablet will be the same colour as
  54.    the element of a tablet.  For example, all the coloured squares on the
  55.    Air Tablet will be yellow; for the Earth tablet, black, etc.
  56.       The letters of the Coloured Squares however, are coloured appropriate
  57.    to the element of the subquadrant.  That is, in the water subquadrant of
  58.    the Air tablet, the Coloured Squares are yellow, and the letters are
  59.    blue.  In fire of Earth, the colour is black with red lettering.
  60.       In the subquadrant corresponding to the element of the tablet itself,
  61.    the colour of the letter is in the complimentary or "flashing" colour of
  62.    the elemental colour.  So that air of Air is a Yellow square with purple
  63.    lettering.  Since black has no complimentary colour, in earth of Earth
  64.    the lettering would be green in a black square.

  79.             The Tablet of Union is left white with black lettering

  82.    3.  New Aeon
  83.       Some have suggested to go along with the Golden Dawn method except
  84.    instead of using black for earth, to use green since it corresponds
  85.    closer to the New Aeon instead of the Piscean Age.  It ties in Set (earth
  86.    - green compliment red) with Horus (fire - red compliment green).
  87.       Everything in the above Golden Dawn chart stays the same, except you
  88.    must change all blacks to green but use black for the complimentary
  89.    colour of earth.

  92.                         II.  The Truncticated Pyramids

  95.    1.  The Golden Dawn Method
  96.       After having worked out the tablets in full (such Crowley's in Liber
  97.    Chanock), the method of colouring is dependent on which attribute a
  98.    pyramid side might have.

  100.       All the Enochian letters are in white squares with a red letter.

  102.       Elemental Attributes are coloured accordingly:
  103.    Air - yellow with purple symbol;      Water - blue with orange symbol;
  104.    Earth - black with white symbol;      Fire - red with green symbol;
  105.    Spirit - white with red symbol.

  107.       Planetary attributes are coloured in the elemental colour of the
  108.    Triplicity to which the planet rules:
  109.    Saturn and Mercury : Air   - yellow with purple symbol
  110.    Mars               : Water - blue with orange symbol
  111.    Venus and  Moon    : Earth - black with white symbol
  112.    Jupiter and Sun    : Fire  - red with green symbol

  114.       Zodiacal attributes are coloured in the elemental colour of the
  115.    Triplicity to which the sign belongs:
  116.    Gemini, Libra, Aquarius  : Air   - yellow with purple symbol
  117.    Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces  : Water - blue with orange symbol
  118.    Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn : Earth - black with white symbol
  119.    Aries, Leo, Saggitarius  : Fire  - red with green symbol

  122.       This method, again is the same as the Golden Dawn but earth is green
  123.    with red symbol.

  125.    3.  Ouroboros Method
  126.       This method is the same as the New Aeon method, but the planetary
  127.    symbols and sides are coloured using the element the planet is attributed
  128.    to:
  129.    Jupiter and Mercury : Air   - yellow with purple symbol
